We are committed to raising £6,000 each year to maintain the library opening hours we have enjoyed for many years and including the Saturday opening that Focal has always funded.

We have a threefold strategy to achieve this funding target:

1. Community Events: Hosting activities like book fairs, author talks, and workshops generates funds and fosters community spirit.
2. Friends and Patrons Subscriptions: Supporters contribute through annual subscriptions, with Friends offering steady support and Patrons providing higher-level contributions in exchange for exclusive perks.
3. Donations and Grants: Individual donations and funding from businesses, charities, and grants support our projects and ensure our library remains a vital community resource.

These efforts sustain our library and strengthen its role as a hub for learning and connection.

Details of our friends’ subscriptions scheme and of our Patrons’ scheme and our life Patron’s scheme are on separate pages.  There is also a template for a Codicil to your will to make a donation to FOCAL.  Please see the links, print off the relevant page and post or e-mail it to Stuart Phipps, our Treasurer. Even easier, you can pay a £20 member subscription or a £100 patron subscription using PayPal.  Please be sure to include your name, address and e-mail address if you do this.
